I travelled with 4 friends in February 2012 and found the Sapphire Beach Condos on Dover Beach to more than exceed my expectations! The condo itself was very modern, tastefully decorated and situated directly on a world class beach. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to prepare any meal, and we loved eating on the patio overlooking the ocean. There are 2 gorgeous washrooms, huge bedrooms with very comfy beds, and ample closet/drawer space. It was also convenient having laundry in the condo too so that we could wash and dry clothes as needed. The location is terrific, walking distance to all the amazing restaurants in the St. Lawrence Gap. Quite honestly, I couldn't find one thing to critique with this rental and I have travelled extensively all over the Caribbean. Contact Jane...she'll make you feel so welcome!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in the beautiful Sapphire Beach Condos #117 in early January 2012. From the moment we entered the apartment, we were blown away. The decor is amazing and the stunning Caribbean and beach are right outside.

The condo is located on the south coast of the island in Barbados on Dover Beach. The apartment is on two levels. My husband and I took the king bedroom upstairs (with private bathroom) and our two teen-age children took the downstairs bedroom with two twins (and their own bathroom).

Both bedrooms have their own TV. There are three patios in the apartment: one off the king bedroom; another outside the downstairs bedroom which takes you to the pools and Dover Beach; and a third off the living room overlooking the beach and sea and beautiful grounds of Sapphire Beach Condos. The third has dining and is very comfortable for relaxing; we spent a lot of time here, particularly early mornings and sunset and evening time.

I liked the location of this apartment because it's away from the busy-ness of the St Lawrence Gap but it's near enough that we could walk to many really good restaurants (Waterside is one we really especially enjoyed and recommend highly). Dover Beach is outstanding.

Jane (who manages the property and rented it to us) told us we'd love it and we really, really did. I was able to do my morning walks for exercise and the family enjoyed playing in the sea and sunning ourselves (you can rent umbrellas and chairs from a vendor on the beach very reasonably).

We really made the apartment our own during our stay ... We cooked in the first-class kitchen, lounged, slept like babies, got suntanned, and celebrated the new year the best way I could possibly imagine.

I could not recommend #117 Sapphire Beach more highly. We're already talking about our next visit to Barbados and will stay nowhere other than this elegant beachfront villa.
