The condo was better than the pictures can even capture, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend renting from Jane. She was so helpful and accommodating, offering tips and recommendations on everything from taxis to restaurants. The staff at the St. Lawrence Beach Condos was also very friendly and helpful. All in all, staying here made our vacation that much better. :)

My husband and I stayed at Sea Breeze April 2010 and were totally delighted. We consider ourselves to be quite discerning and really quite fussy about where we stay but this accommodation could not be faulted.

Jane provided an extremely detailed list of information so anyone new to Barbados will be advised on EVERYTHING from how much to pay for a taxi to whether or not a cardigan may be required in the evening! A lovely lovely lady who could not have been more helpful or accomodating.

As for the apartment itself, well you will not be disappointed - newly furnished, tastefully and beautifully decorated and clean as a whistle. But the best bit is of course the wonderful view of the crystal clear caribbean sea which can be seen from the bed !

The location is perfect as it is in the heart of St Lawrence Gap which means you have lots of of great restaurants within short walking distance away (and I do mean short !) but at the same time is right on the beach - does it get any better ?!

We might just have been lucky but we found that the pool area was always really quiet - but even if you visit peak season there are plenty of sunbeds. We particularly enjoyed the beach just in front of the Southern Palms Hotel (turn right out of the building and keep walking until you see a pink hotel on your right). The hotel welcomes visitors and has the most perfect beach with enough palm trees for shade and they don't charge for using their beds provided you use lunch at the hotel. Be warned though - their rum punches are pretty potent !!

We spent many a day on that beach and were even able to see turtles in the sea from our sun loungers. We would also recommend the Brazilian Restaurant (turn left and it is a short walk on your right), though Harlequins was also fab.

All In all, a truly wonderful place to stay - we certainly hope to return soon so please look after it whilst your there !!!.

We stayed at St. Lawrence Gap Beach Condomiums from 5/21/11 to 5/25/11. Our unit was Apt 7, "Sea Breeze". The unit was exactly as the photos show, with a beautiful view of the ocean from both your living room and master bedroom; WOW says it all!

A great comfy king size bed and the A/C worked wonderfully! We arrived late at night and were greeted by Mike in Security. He explained the town and all it had to offer. He was extremely pleasant and acknowledged we were weary travelers (13 hours of traveling).

Within minutes, Monica greeted us, showed us around the property and then took us to our unit. She explained all the amenties inside the unit, just like a five star hotel host would. She was wonderful and stated, "if we need anything, just call". We saw Monica and Mike numerous times during our stay, what a terrific staff!

We met Jane Shattuck for a brief moment as she was leaving for a business trip with her husband; she too was very pleasant and helpful. We cannot say enough good things about the staff, their hospitality and our unit.

The location was GREAT, right on the main street of The Gap where there are numerous restaurants, bars, nightly entertainment, shops (a convenience store just a 2 minute walk on the same side of the street that has everything you could need).

About a 4 minute walk there's a great beach area with food and drinks stands (not expensive, either). Various stands offered 2 for 1 drinks. Also, you can rent beach lounge chairs and umbrellas there. We paid $10 USD for the day for 2 lounges & 1 umbrella (that's a deal). The ocean was warm and the color was beautiful.

We also visited a unique place called Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary (just around the corner from the unit) that has a barista with homemade desserts, ice cream and sandwiches. You can sit inside or eat outside on the covered patio by the lake; a must if you like dessert.

After our stay in St. Lawrence Gap, we traveled to Holetown (on the west coast of Barbados) for 5 days which was another delight. However, I must say there are MORE activities at St. Lawrence Gap. The Gap has everything you could wish for. The employees we encountered at the restaurants and bars at The Gap were extremely pleasant and created a FUN atmoshere.

Even with the nightly entertainment, our unit was quiet. We believe the people of Barbados truly want everyone to enjoy a wonderful Barbados experience and it shows, we will be back!

From the moment you enter the condo, it takes your breathe away!!!

My girlfriend and I chose this destination for her 40th birthday celebration. We wanted something different, other then a typical hotel or resort. This definitely exceeded our expectations.

There was plenty of room and each of us had our own bathrooms. Jane gave us plenty of information upfront for us to use in planning. The views were great for morning coffee. We love the private beach and the pooside.

The staff was friendly, accommodating and answered all questions that we had. The location is ideal, especially if you are not renting a car.

Restaurants, steet vendors, clubs and karaoke were just a short stroll away. Taxis come past the propery frequently. I'm currently planning my vacation trip for October and will be returning, hopefully renting again from Jane!!
